2nd June 2005 ScreenFX gets 100 million audience boost with Westfield deal
As the leading digital screen advertising network in UK shopping centres, ScreenFX plc has won a 6-year agreement with Westfield, the world's largest retail property group by market capitalisation.
All seven Westfield UK malls will be added to the ScreenFX network including Merry Hill, the largest mall in the Birmingham area; Broadmarsh, Nottingham and CastleCourt, the leading mall in Northern Ireland.
The agreement will see ScreenFX install and manage networks of distinctive island 'InfoPods', incorporating large format advertising screens, and touch screen mall plans, in all centres.
The deal takes the total number of large format plasma screens to 240 and will add an extra 100 million shoppers to the national audience in time for Quarter 4. Altogether the ScreenFX network will reach 300 million annually on the threshold of the nation's leading stores.
Current ScreenFX sites include MetroCentre in Gateshead and Lakeside in Essex, with St James' Centre, the largest mall in Edinburgh with 13 million footfall, due to 'go live' in the next few weeks. Braehead in Glasgow follows on in early summer.
ScreenFX Group Marketing Director David Neale says:
"As we continue to add substantial critical mass to our national audience the case for brands to extend their campaigns to the threshold of the nation's favourite stores is ever more compelling".
